The recruitment process at Legrand
In our Group, recruitments are managed locally at the level of business units and countries, which define the strategy most suited to their needs and environment. However, wherever the position you are applying for is located, the recruitment process has three aims, which are shared by all Group entities:
- to ensure that you have the competencies and expertise required for the position, as well as the personal skills and values that will enable you to succeed: commitment, sense of initiative, transparency, ability to work as part of a team and help your colleagues grow, etc.;
- to help you clearly understand the professional environment you are about to join, thanks to various meetings with line managers and HR managers;
- to determine, following an initial position, what your future within the Group could be: what your potential is, what your ambitions are, and which qualities will enable you to achieve them.
1. Your application
You are interested in one of our vacancies and plan to apply. Your CV should reflect your background, your competencies, the tasks you have been assigned, and results achieved during your various experiences. It is an opportunity to promote yourself. As for your cover letter, it should highlight your interest in the position and in the Group, as well as the personality traits that will convince us that you have the assets required for the proposed assignment.
2. The shortlist
Aware of the trust you are placing in us by applying, the HR teams will carefully consider your application, including your education, background and relevant experience for the position. After examining your application, we undertake to give you a clear response regarding our decision.
3. Interviews
Congratulations, your application has been selected and you will soon attend an interview! One piece of advice: stay calm – we make every effort to receive candidates in the best possible conditions so they feel at ease and perform to the best of their ability. The company's aim is to determine whether your background, personality and experience are suitable for the position and in line with our values. The more spontaneous and authentic you are, the better the interviewers will be able to gauge you and the more promising the prospects identified will be.
"HR" Interview
In addition to their background, we are looking for personalities that are able to contribute their enthusiasm and energy to Legrand. The aim is to determine your work personality, what motivates you and your values, to check that they are compatible with your integration in the Group. "Be natural and sincere: clear knowledge of your strengths and areas for improvement is the key"
The "Manager" interview
This interview completes the interview conducted by HR and is aimed primarily at confirming your technical competencies. It focuses mainly on your educational and professional background. "Highlight your experiences that are relevant to the position, structure your speech, and highlight your motivation with concrete examples that will make all the difference".
