LSC3 data centre: integrated design
Involved in each stage of the LCS3 VDI project, the design team focuses on what matters: the user experience. It provides smart and ergonomic solutions, such as the individual retrieval of cassettes with a single press or the ultra-simplified implementation of patch panels.
The result: a unique user experience brought to data centres, these key buildings of the digital world.
Adorne Pop-out Outlets and Wave switches: making use of everyday gestures
The “pop-out” socket, which is extremely discrete, is revealed by a simple gesture and can be a 4-gang if you need it. The “Wave” switch, which is perfect for your hall, allows you to switch on the lights with a single gesture when you come home with your hands full.
Research & concepts
Examining and analysing social, economic and technological megatrends allows new avenues to be explored, leading to potential futures.
These cutting edge design proposals, which can be compared to car manufacturers “concept cars”, are consistently subject to feedback from users.
FLOCOON Pixel: the switch of the future
Inspired by connected objects, FLOCOON Pixel proposes the interactive management of switches: the user configures a switch, pixel by pixel, and can adjust the brightness of a light, with a single gesture. The user assumes the lead role and creates their own own personal interface as they wish, in functional terms.
“Entrée by Legrand”: the ultimate in simplicity
‘Entrée by Legrand' is placed at the entrance to your home and offers two customisable scenarios: arrival and departure. For example, with the departure scenario, it switches off the lights, activates energy saving mode for sockets and reduces the temperature.
For security purposes, it sets the alarm, closes all the shutters and activates the security cameras - all with a single click. It can also be connected to Cloud services and display information, relating to a parcel delivery, for example. “Entrée By Legrand” is designed to be configured using a Smartphone and the user can flexibly alter the functionalities over time.
“O-Tune By Legrand”: a physical and digital mixer experience
With its minimalist design, “O-tune by Legrand” can be placed anywhere and blends into the background when not in use. When a user approaches, “O-tune by Legrand” wakes up.
Voice recognition is used to determine what the user wants. “O-tune by Legrand” can be used to adjust the lighting level, colour ambiance, volume or temperature. The physical action of your hand on the ring provides extremely precise control and the action confirmation adds to the perceived quality.

CMF: colour, material, finish
“CMF” expertise is one of Legrand’s key design tool.
By working with these 3 components - colour, material and finish - our switches will perfectly match the ambiances and styles for which they are intended.
Designed to either blend in like Axolute Air or to act as a decorative element like Art d’Arnould or with high-end finishes like Arteor.

Everyone’s taste can be accommodated with Valena
As a successful international range, Valena switches offer a wide choice of finishes, from the truly classic to the highly elaborate. There is a finish for everyone, whatever their tastes and desires.
Designing experiences: UX and ergonomics
Designing experiences involves a combination of physical and digital interfaces.
By devising intuitive and simple ergonomics to suit everyday uses, the aim of the UX Department (User eXperiences) is to provide an outstanding user experience.
The inclusive design of Legrand’s products is intended to appeal to everyone. This includes, for example, specific functionalities for people with disabilities or visual impairments, or those suffering from a loss of independence.

With the highly intuitive user interface of the Classe 300X door entry system, the main functions are easy to access by means of physical push buttons. Small lines have been added to guide users to the two main functions (speaker and door opening), which makes it easy to use, even when visually impared. For the mobile application, we have concentrated on the key functions that are available immediately and have also provided a quick access function for calling home with a single button.
